SCAM.  The goal is to panic you and scare you in to calling them where they can further pile on the fear and induce you to pay them money.  I get these several times a year.  I have never called them back and to date NO ONE has ever showed up at my home or job with "papers" to serve me.  Legit process servers do not warn you that they are coming.  Who would be there?  Now sometimes a legitimate service attempt is made when you are not home and they leave a business card where you can call and arrange service but that is entirely different than these calls.

I would warn family, friends, and employer you have been targeted by scammers and NOT to panic and pay.  If you happen to answer I either mess with them or blow a horn in their ears.  Once they figure out you are not going to pay they move on to easier targets.

I get these calls all the time.

One time, instead of giving me a callback number, they said to press '1' to speak with "the concern department".  (Whatever that means.)

The guy who answered the phone for the "concern department" claimed to be a US Federal agent, but had a very thick South Asian accent.  At one point he said he could provide me with his badge number -- which would obviously be a fake one.

I told him to give me his name and badge number so I could call up the federal agency and verify.

CLICK

They are trained to get off the phone as soon as you call them out as a scam.

I called my mother then to warn her about these scams.  While I was talking to her, I got ANOTHER call from these scammers.

Between the experiences of @Clydesmom and me, you can be 100% certain this is a scam.

If this were real, at some point they would send you something in the mail.

Yep figured as much. Thety called again this morning and the girl said unfourtenly her colleague was not able to make it out today so she has taken over her caseload and this is my final notification and if I need to rescheduel to call the filing party. Again no names of any companies! I'm sad some people fall for this.

SCAM… I have been receiving phone calls from “Great Lakes Resolution” located in Houston, Texas for over a year now. They do not identify themselves, nor do they announce their company’s name. The customer representatives are rude and demanding. I receive calls from (844) 912-3642 AND (815) 270-5893.

A “Renee Smith” called and left a detailed voicemail message. She stated she would be at my home on 5/7/2021 between 3pm and 5pm to serve me certified documents. She never showed up. I’ve called “Great Lakes Resolution” at both of the above numbers. I’ve threatened them with police action and contacting my States Attorney. Since they call and harass me daily, I started calling them almost every day. I called from my numbers and spoofed numbers. This is definitely a SCAM!!!

I had a County Sheriff reach out to them and all phone calls have ended!!! Actually, they have blocked 4 of my phone numbers.
