shadow99 Posted March 24, 2022 Report Posted March 24, 2022 I have an upcoming case with Portfolio. I've emailed them the MTC with contract documents to the email address listed on the paperwork I was served with. I'm assuming it got through - there was no failed delivery message. Then, I mailed it CMRRR using the address on their paperwork - twice. Once was a month ago and once was two weeks ago. When I track it, both still just say it will be delivered, but it's running late. You'd think if the address was wrong, they'd return it. I guess I'll show my receipts in court, say it was also emailed and serve them there if I have to? What do you guys think? I've never had USPS just stall out on a delivery before. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that maybe something got lost or damaged the first time. My dispute letters were delivered without any issue. Their address matches the Internet, only a few departments seem to have Suite numbers and others don't. I put in a missing mail search on the first one. Submitted a complaint with the second. No response on anything. Quote
nobk4me Posted March 24, 2022 Report Posted March 24, 2022 I've had this problem as well. Mine was with a DV letter sent by certified mail to a collection agency. Tracking showed it was to be delivered but running late. And the tracking was stuck on that. But they apparently got it, as the CA promptly responded to my DV letter. But USPS never showed that it was delivered. 1 Quote

I've done what I can anyway. The courts here will probably just let me hand them a copy and continue the case if they claim they don't have it. Quote
