Jacknyc
If DC committed more than one FDCPA violation under different statutes 1692 g & 1692(c) & 1692(e) and if you bring federal claim , would you get a total of $1000 + costs for all FDCPA violations? or each statute violation gets you $1000? BackFromTheDebt
From what I understand, it has been $1000 total since the 1970s. Stupid but true. There are exceptions. If you can show actual damages. For example, if them bothering you at work causes you to lose your job. Or, if they commit some other violations as well. Many violations involving phones can be on a per call basis. I once settled with a collection agency for $3000 because they kept calling me at work even when I sent a letter CMRRR telling them to stop.
