Short Debt Validation Letter

Written by: Kristy Welsh

You don't have to go quoting a bunch of laws and regulations the first time you request a debt validation from a collection agency. Merely requesting them to validate the debt you owe it is sufficient enough. This letter is a shorter version of our original debt validation letter.

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) gives you the right to request validation of debt. This sample letter should be used in conjunction with our debt validation article. If you find yourself confused about how to use this letter or feel overwhelmed by the debt validation technique, visit our discussion forum or contact Lexington Law for a free credit repair consultation today!

To Whom It May Concern,

I am disputing the above-referenced account and request validation of this debt as per my rights under the FDCPA.
