ImaBird Posted February 7, 2008 Report Posted February 7, 2008 I know this may not be very relevant, but I'm very curious...... In Ohio, small claims court goes up to $3,000......Municipal court goes from $3,001 to $15,000...Since my judgment was for $2,729, why was I sued in municipal court?
JLoh1970 Posted February 7, 2008 Report Posted February 7, 2008 The plaintiff has the option in Ohio. If they are represented by an attorney they will pretty much always file in Municipal as it gives them an edge on the procedures should you go Pro Se.
