So, perusing my "Accounts in Good Standing" on my EX report (note that it starts on page 48...eek) I found an old one from National City bank. It was my overdraft protection line, for $500. It shows as Paid, Closed/Never Late.

Here's the kicker. Again, I'm amazing myself with the smart things I actually accomplished during my stupidity phase.

Experian report I have from 7/9/02

Shows date opened 1/99, date last status 6/02, Account scheduled to continue on record until 6/2012. I also had a notation in my writing that it was reaged, because I had this while I was in college from 1996-1998. It was closed before I moved to Colorado in 1999.

Experian report from 3/25/03

Date of status/Last Reported 3/2003

Account scheduled to cotinue on record until 3-2013

Now, the report I pulled 4/29/08 says....

Date of last status/reported 10/2007

Account scheduled to continue on record until Oct 2017 :eek:

Now, I don't know what the deal is with this, but I have also found the same thing with Household Bank/HSBC. They've reaged it to 2010, and the other to 2013, when on previous Experian reports it should've fallen off in 2007. One of the accounts states it was "Purchased by another Lender" (on the most recent report).

So should I call Experian? Is this hurting me?

if they are posative leave em be they show age on your credit score. f you remove them your score could go sown because you wont have any age on any tl's

I think one of the HSBC has a past due on there, so I might dispute that one, but I was just making sure I was okay on this :)

If you have a positive account with lates,a letter to creditor would be my advice.Anyone who disputes positive accounts has a chance of the entire account being deleted.
