  1. Be strong my friend! Don't get discouraged.
  2. Just FYI the SOL on the repo is from the date of sale of the auto. But I haven't been on here in years and that might have changed.
  3. I ended up closing my account. My two co-workers ended up closing their accounts. Our payroll department deposits our paycheck's on wednesday nights, every other bank and credit union manages to have the funds available that Thursday morning. However, Compass made my two coworkers wait until Friday. That is why they ended up changing.
  4. Citibank / The Home Depot - Increased me to $5600 from $4000. I got the card in 12/08 with 12 months no interest, maxed it out with new appliances, been paying on it since. I have about $1500 left to pay before 12/09. Since I purchased the appliances, I have not used the card once.
  5. Tell them to provide you with the documentation that they have that says you filed BK.
  6. I would imagine this would affect your credit report. The Uniform Commercial Code usually is what applies to repo's. But it would only apply if FL adopted it. So google FL UCC and read what you find. Also like the previous poster said, the SOL applies to when the car was sold at auction, etc. Not from the repo date. If the OC repo'd it and didn't sell it for six months, then it will extend your SOL.
  7. Tell them you are going to file a complaint against them for deceptive trade practices for advertising daily pulls but you are not able to pull daily with the BBB.
  8. After months of complaining about the service I had several months of credits. They finally conned me into deleting all my old reports and issuing a new account...which ended up not working. So don't do it. File a complaint with the BBB saying you are paying for a service and are not being provided with it.
  9. Now that all is said and done.... I found that one small local bank labeled it Non Warrantable...from that point on I would call lenders up and tell them I needed a Non Warrantable Condo Loan. I found out from my broker that this was the wrong approach. He ultimately told me that good credit will over come the non warrantable issue. He said my credit was good and he got the loan approved. I know I went to Wells Fargo and told them I needed a NWCL and they told me they did not do them. But Wells Fargo ended up being my lender and I pay them monthly.
  10. I'm not familiar with that. But it looks like you are doing a great job searching the web.
  11. Just google the Uniform Commercial Code for WA. See if WA adopted it.
  12. Since I PAY for my Equifax/CSC reports from them, they provide me with a number. But here it is. 1 877 474 8273
  13. It ideally should be on your credit report if you had one.
  14. Then I would find out who the data furnisher is and send them that letter?
  15. I have had several problems with Equifax/CSC since they "updated" their system in Dec 08. Everytime I would pull from Equifax website I would get errors. After months and months of complaining, they gave me credits for several months of service. During that time I filed a complaint with the BBB and the Equifax/CSC person responding to the BBB complaint said my file was too big and it was causing problems. So they actually went in and deleted some of my former addresses. I pulled today and it worked for me. If you are PAYING for a service, I would call and complain that you are paying for a service and not being provided with it. Continue to do this EVERYTIME you have problems. Keep records, send a complaint to the BBB.
  16. I'm sure several people have had inaccurate judgements placed on their credit reports. I'm not sure on your second question.
  17. I read a bit of your post until you appeared to be writing a letter to the CA stating you were trying to get approved for a mortgage. DO NOT DO THIS!!!!! The CA will keep this info on your report because they know you will want it off to get approved.
  18. No offense at all, but your last post is hard to read and is confusing when you are referring to another situation. DO NOT, mention to them you are buying a house, they know you will need the account removed from your report before you buy and will do everything they can to keep on it there.
  19. More than likely, I'm thinking you will have to show up in court and cite the SOL as your defense.
  20. I just wanted to add that normally the SOL applies to the date of auto was sold at auction, etc.
  21. It looks like you did a great job on reading the boards. Just a note, usually the SOL applies to the date of sale of the repo'ed auto. So it would be six years from the date of sale of the auto. The auto would have to have been sold after 6/1/03 for the SOL to apply in my opinion. Are you sure this company doesnt have a judgement against you for the auto?
  22. I think I've seen some contracts worded that they will only approve you if you sign up for auto payments. Not sure if this is legal or not though. Put it in writing that you are requesting they stop the auto withdrawals. But as I understand your post this account has already been sent to the CA, and they are demanding payment.
  23. What type is this alleged debt? When did the SOL start? I would want to know that information before providing my opinion.
  24. I have always assumed all debts in TX have a four year SOL. Maybe I'm wrong, I've been wrong before. Where did you read that it was six years for a promissory note? If this promissory note is from a repo then the SOL applies from the date the auto was auctioned. Look up the UCC for more information.
